Landscape design & grounds care · South-west suburbs
Lawns that hold their line. Beds that hold their own.
Swale & Stone takes care of the outside of your house the way a good crew runs a job site — measured, tidy, and written down before anyone starts. Mowing programs, bed design, patios, and the drainage work most companies quietly walk past.
Back yard, existing conditions
Plate 02
Every visit list and every build, agreed in writing first.
The people who show up Monday are the people who finish.
Certificate on request before the first day of work.
What we run
Six things we do, done properly.
No brochure of a hundred services. These are the jobs our crews are built for, and anything outside them we will tell you who to call.
01
Lawn care programs
A scheduled program — mow height, feeding, aeration, overseeding — written for the yard you have, not a flat monthly plan.
02
Bed design & planting
Layout, soil prep, and plant selection that holds its shape through August and doesn't need replacing every spring.
03
Patios, walls & walkways
Base built to last: excavation, compaction, drainage, and pavers or natural stone laid on a level you can see.
04
Drainage & grading
Swales, dry creek beds, downspout extensions, and re-grading so water leaves the foundation instead of pooling at it.
05
Seasonal cleanups
Spring openings and fall closings, edge cutting, pruning, and leaf removal on dates that actually arrive.
06
Snow & ice
Plowed and treated driveways and walkways, with a stated trigger height so nobody is guessing at 5 a.m.
The year, on paper
What happens when.
A grounds contract is a calendar before it is anything else. Here is the one your yard would sit on.
- Weekly mow & trim
- Mid-season feed
- Bed weeding, twice
- Drought check-ins
- Overseed & aerate
- Final feed
- Leaf removal, 3 passes
- Winterizing
- Snow & ice service
- Hardwood pruning
- Equipment service
- Next year's plan
How we work
Four steps, no surprises.
Thirty minutes on site. We measure, photograph, and listen to what bothers you.
A scope with the work, the dates, and the total. Two or three options if there's a real choice to make.
The crew arrives on the day agreed, and the site gets tidier than we found it.
A walkthrough at the end, a photo record, and one number to call if something isn't right.
Where we work
A radius we can actually keep.
Close enough that a crew can turn around the same day if something needs a second look.
Outside this list, ask — if we can be there and back the same day, we usually will.
Estimates
Tell us about the yard.
Send the address and a couple of photos, or call and describe it. You'll get a written scope with dates and a total — usually within a few days, and always before any work is scheduled.
